goin' to the chapel and we're..

Spontaneous adventures seem to have become tradition for my Swede and I. We had planned to go to the Tate Modern but on our merry way got lost in Borough Market and wandered about a chapel instead. It was beautiful and I loved it. I'd like to live in an old church I think. Turn it in to a dainty home. Not one like this though, a smaller wooden one with arched doorways and worn down floorboards. Perhaps one day..

We found this mother of an apple at the Market. It cost me 76p and didn't taste quite as good as it looks but I think the size and the novelty of an apple this big made up for what it was lacking in crunch.

birthday celebrations

I had the most wonderful day.
Claire/ Claire Sauce/ Phoenix took me out for breakfast lunch at my favourite eating place. She made a discovery that had us giggling for some time. When our tummies were full and we'd added to what we found I went one way and she went another.
I spent my afternoon hustling about Oxford Street hunting for birthday treasures, and my oh my the treasures I found! More than happy with my birthday purchases I made my way home in the dark and got to work on a birthday present for my one and only. Claire was in the kitchen doing secret things and I was painting with coffee when I heard a knock at the door. Assuming it was Asha, I ran down the stairs to greet her. Alas, I opened the door to find a Swede, my Swede standing in the cold.
I smiled a smile that lingered all night long as we five sat at the table and ate a super delicious dinner followed by home made frozen yoghurt. How lucky I am for the lovely people that made my day so swell.

so slip into that birthday suit

A glorious morning. Asha jumped into my bed early this morning and gave me a most wonderful gift. The sun is just creeping out from the grey and I'm ready for french toast at The Breakfast Club. It's going to be a magnificent day. I'll be sure to keep y'all posted.

crafty foxes

As a result of our craftiness there has been much redecorating happening about the Palace. Celine started the frenzy which is ongoing. It seems something new is added weekly. Today it was the elephant pink* lampshade that I skilfully attached to the ceiling with a little wire. Tomorrow it may be another hilarious news story to add to our prized collection. FYI news stories in this country are a joke. Some of the headlining tales featured on our living room wall include 'Rutting stag knocks woman to the ground as she strolls through park' 'McMamma Mia! Stroke made me speak Italian' 'I'm so happy my little conker spaniel is back' and 'Saved from Pirates by a message in a bottle'. We often have a giggle about such so called news.

*I say elephant pink because it is the very colour of my high school uniform, which transformed me and every other Cheltenham Lady into a being more commonly known as a pink elephant. All class, we were.

Yes, that is a reindeer made of wire. My fingers were near numb after hours of bending wires but it was well worth it.

My bedroom wall. Complete with frankie posters, cards from afar, doodles and a Scottish Soldier's hat.

I do believe in people, I do, I do. Thank you brother Elijah.

New old boots for twelve quid? Yes please!

To the left, to the left is a feathered friend made by my one and only. The owl was my creation.
